Your Local eHealth Networks
Each eHealth Network Site supports the eHealth agenda nationally by providing appropriate resources and increasing knowledge and understanding of the eHealth environment among general practice and primary care.
eHealth Support Officers in each eHealth Network Site work to provide support and education to the primary care sector to adopt and continue to use eHealth systems and services as they become available.

Brisbane North and Moreton Bay eHealth Network is operated by Metro North Brisbane Medicare Local. This lead eHealth site is targeting around 100 GP practices, focussing on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders; residents of Aged Care Facilities; older Australians; patients on multiple medications; patients with chronic and complex diseases; and patients on public inpatient and specialist outpatient waiting lists.

West Moreton-Oxley Medicare Local manages the Brisbane South and Ipswich eHealth Network. The Medicare Local has implemented a community-based eHealth infrastructure that facilitates the sharing of key clinical information between GPs and other participating health providers located in the “western corridor” of South-East Queensland.

The Hunter Urban eHealth Network is a unit of Hunter Urban Medicare Local, a not for profit organisation based in Newcastle, New South Wales which integrates primary health care. As a lead eHealth site, Hunter Urban eHealth Network has a range of focuses and targets over 150 GPs. Some of these focuses include residents of aged care facilities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and patients requiring after hours care.

Melbourne East eHealth Network is operated by Inner East Melbourne Medicare Local. This eHealth site will initially target around 100 GP practices, and focus on after-hours patients;
aged care residents; complex and chronic patients and patients of Box Hill Hospital Outpatients Department.
